While following in the footsteps of Eric the Red, you will get familiar with the beautiful diverse landscape of Iceland. Every step of the way you will notice the magnificent mixture of the fire and ice Iceland is famous for. You will have the chance to explore and discover the nature and activities, while enjoying the sizzling fun atmosphere of the cosmopolitan rich city of Reykjavík

When is the best time to travel to Iceland?

The weather in Iceland is generally mild which makes the land a perfect destination all year round. There is no prefered time of year to travel to Iceland. Every season is special and offers a different view of the Island.
Summer (June - August) is the high tourist season and it is highly recommended to book accommodation and other services well in advance. During the high tourist season you should also be advised to book your flight to Iceland well in advance.
If you are looking to relax and enjoy many of Iceland's spas and finer dining, the Husky Team has great knowledge of all the best spots, weather it is a good resturant specializing in Icelandic fish cuisine or going clubbing we have the perfect spot for you in mind.

Traveling to Iceland during winter time (october-april) is possible and even recommended though you should expect a few snow days throughout your trip. Please note that while traveling with your Husky guide, you will be able to change your traveling plans in very short notice and in accordance to any weather changes. (there is a saying in Iceland: „If you dont like the weather, wait five minutes“ ).

Planning your tour to Iceland

The best way to start planning your trip to the land of the vikings is by deciding how you wish to travel, in a group, alone or with a private tour guide. While traveling on your own has its ups, we belive that the best way to experience Iceland is with a professional guidance. In a land where every stone is an important landmark with extraordinary story to tell, no book or printed guide is able to deliver the full story.
In case you wish to enjoy the benefits of a guided tour and still meet Icelandic nature and its people in a direct fashion and without any mediators, you can always combine and divide your time between traveling alone and with a guide. Husky Tour team will be happy to plan such a combined guided and independent tour that will suit your exact taste and needs.

The next step in planning your trip is to decide what are the key, most important elements you wish to include in your tour of Iceland. Rest assure, any trip to Iceland will probably include many different elements and sites. Yet, when you know more about the kind of Icelandic experince you are looking for it makes the work of planning your trip easier and the final result will be much more satisfactory.

In any way you wish to travel to Iceland, we will be happy to assist and advice you while planning or considering a trip to Iceland. At any time you wish, you can call us, send us an e-mail, or drop us a question using the contact us page, at the of this page.

Iceland Private Husky Guide - can you afford it?

True, a tour guide in Iceland with luxury private transportation is usually more expensive then joining an organized group tour. Yet the differences are usually greater than expected and the benefits of travelling with your own private tour guide are overwhelming.
While calculating the cost of a private tour to Iceland, please remember that you can join up to 8 persons while traveling with our Husky Tour Guide on selected tours. In this way, you can reduce the cost per person substantially. Furthermore, the cost of multiple days trip is considerably cheaper (and enjoyable) than a one day guided tour due to reduced milage per day.
In other words, joining a few people together and planing a multiple days tour with us, will reduced the price of your private guided tour to Iceland and still allow you the full benefits of a custom made private Iceland experience.

So how much does your Iceland Tour cost?

Our prices for private guided tours vary according to many variables like time of the year, number of days, number of people included etc. In order to issue an exact price quote we will need the following information:

1. Dates and number of days your guided tour to Iceland will last.
2. Number of people expected to take part in your tour.
3. Sites and places you like to visit in Iceland. In case you are not sure, try to specify your general interests and we will adress them in our proposal.
4. Any additional services you may need our help in - hotel reservations, dinner reservations, organizing special events like birthdays, anniversaries etc.
5. Any special needs you may require.

How do I find out when a tour is available?

Tours are available at any time, starting on any date you wish. Because each of our tours is individually customized for you there are no set start or end dates. The only exception is at Christmas, when many hotels and almost all attractions close for a week or more and organizing a tour is not possible.
